Efficient energy harvesting is a difficult challenge. Wisepower researchers developed a new approach, based on an innovative technology, that we named "Wisepower effect". Thanks to these technologies the energy harvesting efficiency increased up to 300% in respect to traditional linear methods
The issue of changing exhausted batteries can be finally eliminated by exploiting solutions based on our proprietary technology, which allows us to create innovative solutions to efficiently harvest energy from the ambient.
Devices that are powered by our generator do not need ordinary maintenance. The power is directly recovered from the environment.
Our historyWisepower spinned-off from the research activity of NiPS laboratory, leaded by Professor Gammaitoni, in the Physics and Geology department in University of Perugia. While studying the effect of noise on non-linear systems (meaning random vibrations), Professor Gammaitoni and Professor Vocca invented a much more efficient method to absorb vibrations than commonly used ones. Wisepower adds to this method the convertion of the absorbed energy into electrical energy and its utilisation to power sensors and small portable devices. |

Full Professor of General Physics in University of Perugia, Department of Physics and Geology. He is the founder of SEBI SpA and EPR Solutions. He has more than 20 years experience in scientific research.
Associate Professor of General Physics in University of Perugia, Department of Physics and Geology. He is the coordinator of the VIRGO research group in Perugia. He is founding member of EPR Solutions. He has more than 20 years experience in scientific research.
He achieved Ph.D in Physics. He was Project Manager for more than 10 years in CERN laboratories and in INFN for developing silicon particle detector and software architectures for simulation and data analysis.
Master in Physics, she achieved Ph.D in mechanical engineering in Stokes Lab (Limerick, Ireland). She gained experience in desing and realisation of high efficiency energy harvesting prototypes during her internship in Nokia Bell Labs in Dublin, where she realised a commercial prototype.
Wisepower was selected between the most innovative projects selected by the Hong Kong incubator experts.
Wisepower was selected as a finalist between ober 200 presented projects.
