L. Gammaitoni and H. Vocca met Joseph Kovalik to discuss future collaboration with Wisepower Corp., a spin-off company of NiPS, based in Arcadia (CA). The meeting was held in Pasadena, during a visit to Caltech.

Wisepower in collaboration with NiPS Laboratory has developed a new iPhone App that allow users to store, upload and share acceleration time series acquired with their device.
The acceleration time series will be uploaded on the RealVibration Database as part of the NANOPOWER (Nanoscale energy management for powering ICT devices) EU Project.
Luca Gammaitoni and Helios Vocca from Wisepower met with Herre Van der Zant and Warner Venstra from MED at TU Delft (http://home.tudelft.nl). The MED group studies the electronic properties of molecular and mechanical systems at the nanoscale.
Helios Vocca and Luca Gammaitoni from Wisepower visited the Holst Centre/Imec in Eindhoven, Nederlands.
During the visit, Rudd Vullers presented the activity of the energy harvesting group at IMEC. Helios Vocca presented a seminar on Nonlinear Energy Harvesting.
Future collaborations between the two laboratories have been discussed.

Luca Gammaitoni and Helios Vocca from Wisepower srl participated to the
GUARDIAN ANGELS Workshop:“Guardian Angels for a Smarter Life: Science and Technology Beyond Fiction”.
During the workshop Luca Gammaitoni presented the recent Wisepower project "HAT" (Hybrid Autonomous Transducers) (see http://www.wisepower.it/HAT).
Wisepower srl participated to the panel discussion on "portable Power" entitled "Possiamo fare a meno delle batterie ?" (Can we get rid of batteries?).
